The International Youth Media Agency at the Climate Change Summit
Continuing the Agency’s successful experience at Rio +20, young people from Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, Greece and Italy were in Doha (Qatar) attending the 18th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change.

The conference, which ran from November 26th to December 7th 2012, aimed to establish the guidelines under the new directions of the Kyoto Protocol, the document that sets targets for reducing emissions of greenhouse gases responsible for the acceleration of global warming. The International Youth Media Agency traveled to Doha supported by Viração Educomunicação, TierraVida Foundation, the Brazilian Network of Adolescents and Young Communicators – Renajoc, the United Nations Fund for Children – UNICEF, the Fundação Lutheran Diakonia – FLD, the Youth Climate Movement – Youngo and the Government of Norway.Before the Conference of the Parties, the Agency’s reporters participated in the “Youth Conference” organized by Youngo, where they met with other youth from around the world to plan a collaborative and integrated coverage of the COP18.
