On the 15th of November, Belém woke up to the sounds of drums and maracas, determined footsteps and key words. In the city overlooking the great rainforest of the Amazon, more than 50,000 people took part in the People's March for Climate Justice: a human river, a wave, that from the People’s Summit has crossed streets as a reminder for the wounded Earth.
During the first day of UN climate negotiations in Belém, in a silent yet full of energy room, the voices of indigenous peoples resonated as an ancient call, bringing an urgent invitation to reconnect with Planet Earth.
