Today Panama has agreed to put $1 million into the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and called on other countries to present their commitment in figures.
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) was a measure passed in 2010 during the COP16, where it was agreed that developed countries would channel $100 billion by 2020, the Fund currently has approximately $10 billion.
This money is meant to be invested to help the most vulnerable countries cope with the impacts of climate change.
We expect to see a gradual participation of countries, so by the 12th, there is a value that approximates the provisions of the agreement.
